At least I have my city.
This city fills my soul and makes me feel like I belong somewhere in the world.
All these subtle connections,
The people I see day to day around my neighbourhood,
They are a comforting familiarity in my world.
And even when the tears are pouring out of my soul,
For the life I can’t live,
My beautiful city wraps me up,
With its interesting spaces, happenings and people,
and its warm, rich, chocolate, concrete heart.
